Wayne was born on May 17, 1959 in Brooklyn, New York. At the age of three, he moved along with parents to Merrick, Long Island. At the age of 13, his family moved to Hollywood, Florida where he attended Hollywood Hills High School.
He attended Florida State University and earned his master's degree in communications.
Wayne commend how he often heard his father speak about his friend Lenny and of his belief that he should have received the Medal of Honor. He watched his father tirelessly pursue Lenoard Kravitz's medal upgrade for years, but Wayne noted that it was the advent of the home computer that helped springboard Mitchel's research and outreach on Leonard's behalf.
Wayne currently resides in Hollywood, Florida.
